WOYWW #149...and the door OPENS!!!!!!!!!

OK........

It's midweek....

It's time for "What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday"...

And I promised last week on my first week taking part that I'd show some photos of my actual craft space.

Well this is a card that I have on the wall of my craft room (just to slightly prepare you for what's ahead lol)...

lol oh how true...

And now for the big reveal...

drum rol please.........(click on the arrow to get really in the swing of the post rofl)

dddddddddrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Heeheeheehee!!!!!!!!

Believe me you are not ready for this....

here we go!!

oooooooooooooooooooooooooooo lol

Dare I upload it roflroflrofl

Tense yourselves.....are you sitting down....

TA-DAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHAT THE!!!!!!!!!

NO WAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYY!!!!!!!!

"It's a craft room Jim, but not as we know it"

" ............."

ROFL...
OK, who thought I was exaggerating last week when I said my table was too messy to work at.

And how may of you just swore at the screen in shock roflrofl!!??!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now you understand why I just use it as storage at the moment and when I need to make something I play a version of 'Twister' over the boxes, reach what I need and then (stepping in reverse, backwards, the way I came in) go and work in the lounge. I have to admit, there ARE shelves with stamps on them but they are on the wall nearest me so not in view for the photo.

Is there a 'messiest desk ever' award?

Or in fact a competition like the old 'Spot The Ball' where you guess where the desk is?

Hope you enjoyed it rofl... you could show your family/friends etc next time they moan about the craft stuff taking over the house and making a mess and say 'Look, it's not as bad as Jo Capper-Sandon's'!!!!

Hope no one was too shocked and/or injured themselves on furniture having fainted.

Please pop back next week to see if I've managed to clear a pathway. :0)

Who knows what I will discover under there....

unopened packs of paper,

'new' stamps,

long lost relatives !!

I shall keep a photographic record as I venture in there (mustn't forget to tie a long ribbon around my waist and loop it onto the door handle incase I can't find my way back again rofl ).

And in answer to the question 'What's on your workdesk', well from here I can just about see a storage basket, a box of 12 x 12's, some stamps and two trays of inks and powder....plus other stuff!

I hope it makes you feel a tad better about the mess you have on your desk and that I raised a smile :0)

I started reading and I thought the build up might be a bit over the top for what you were going to show up. BUT ... oh my lord!!!!
Looks like you have a fantastic craft space, but you NEED to dig it out big time!!!
Good luck with getting it cleared so you can get back to your desk :)

Oh my, Jo that is SOME stash you have - I think, I can't quite tell ... good luck with the rescue mission! You made me gasp out loud.... loved the drum roll. come again and show us how you're getting on. Helen, at 39 on the list.

Oh! That is... wow!
Now my excuse of 'but I know where everything is' in my messy space might not work for here!!

Love it, Jo - and yes, it makes me feel a teeny weeny bit better because my floor stash is at least organised -ish, lol - but oh what fun you'll have when you go through it all. I love the tidying because even though I tend to run out of places to put things, I find other stuff that I want to complete or that I want to start because I find bits and bobs of germinating ideas from when I was in a really creative zone. Enjoy it and I bet it takes less time than you imagine... xxx

Oh Jo! You are brilliant for sharing this! I've howled with laughter reading it! The photo's are fabulous too -speshully that cat!

Alas... Every time I see your work now, I will imagine you with a rope tied around your middle playing Twister trying to get at your stamps.

Could stamping be re classified as a dangerous sport?

Bliddy Hell! I'm so showing Craig this!

I'm... stunned.

And slightly jealous!

What a most fantastic post! Loved it!. Loved the Van Gogh post card. Rang so true to me. I think you may just pip the award from me for messiest craft room. Could be just because my space is bigger so it can be spread further afield. It certainly has made me feel better! Thanks.

But just recently I have made an effort to be a more organized person and spent several days re sorting. Every day it is an effort to try to keep it up and I truly have to make an effort to tidy when I have finished. When I am creating things just go everywhere! It is still chaotic compared to normal crafters.

P.S If there is a best post award you should certainly get it!

Capital OMG!!! I love it! Best laugh yet for this week and as my mother would have said.... "now don't you feel better?" I bet it's not like that next week as you've really set yourself a task to dive in and do some serious tidying.
Is there really a craft room under there?
Beam me up Scottie!
Love JoZarty x
Thanks so much BTW as now my DH thinks I am sooooo tidy.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! As far as I am concerned you are the winner!! Will have to call DH over in a minute to have a peep! As long as it doesn't stop you creating, who cares though.... I would offer to come and help tidy, I could always sneak off with a few bits and bobs and I bet you would never notice, but then of course I would never do that.....

Totally loved the other photos btw!!

Have a great week and happy hopping #32

Yay!!!! You're worse than me!!! Made my day :) I'm sure I've made this offer of help to others before but no one's taken me up on it, so....... I can help. Get some big boxes, put it all in, tape it up and send it to me. Easy peasy tidy up.....

No need to thank me, for you I'd take it on the chin......

Well Jo, I think you have made a lot of people laugh out load today as well as make them breathe a sigh of relief in the knowledge that their workspace is not the messiest on the planet. Thanks for showing us, it was hilarious.

I love it! The Star Trek reference was fantastic. And the Van Gogh cartoon! I shrieked with laughter. frankly, I was expecting a lot worse from your craft room. I can only imagine what treasures you will find. Including, I suspect, a cache of devotees, hiding in there, hoping to be closer to the magic.

OMG, you would give my daughter a run for her money. This is the first desk I've looked at today and I know it won't get better (worse) than this!! Very amusing post but what really made me laugh was that you have one of those 'close it up and hide all your storage cupboards'. LOL. Thanks for stopping by to see me.

What a brilliant post Jo. I love nosing in other people's craft spaces. Yours looks like my winter abandoned shed did, although I have started my blitz. It is blooming hard work for sure! It's what happens when you dump your stuff and run instead of actually work in there isn't it? Loved the idea of tying the ribbon to the door handle! Hope you can make inroads soon. Elaine x

yep I think even our leader Julia would admit it is a tad untidy in there. If you find anything interesting do tell.... like Lord Lucan or a lost tribe of pygmy crafters, or maybe even an undiscovered Tim technique.
Good luck and dont forget

Enjoyed your post enormously. Yes, your room is a tip and no wonder you have to work outside of it - but what a gorgeous tip! You will have so much fun sorting it all out and making many surprising finds one day. No way will I show my partner your post, his study is in much the same the condition and he does make forays into the dining room with reams of paper - but he gets sent back very smartly:):)

Fantastically lovely beautiful mess! Its like a crafter exploded in there! lol I really wanted one of those crafters organize-it-all cabinet thingies, but now I'm so glad I haven't splurged on one as you have clearly proven they don't work at all like advertised! lol
Wonderful post to go along with your pics, too. I'm so bookmarking your crafting cave pics to share with anyone who dares say mine is a wreck. I don't think I'll ever have to clean it again! heeheehee Thanks for sharing it with us!

That looks like my idea of heaven. It reminds me of the time I took my one and only little grandson to a play barn with a bit full of balls. He rolled around with joy and dived in!

That is just how I feel - I want to dive in, roll around, crawl under and over, lie on my back and just marvel at your equivalent of Willy Wonka's Chocolate factory.

I dare not make up a funny title after my last catastrophe with your husbands name!

It's my idea of heaven. When I win the lottery you can help me create the exact same space full of fabulous surprises. I think I would even build a house to put it all in.

Apart from a sore jaw, did you hear it as it went THUD on the floor (?) I'd say I escape pretty much unscathed.
I need to save this and do exactly what you say - show it to my family as a comparison point.
You have brought joy to my life today as I don't feel quite as despaired as I did when I stepped into my wee craft space earlier today.
Absolute fun and bravo for you to sharing this with us!!!!!

Hahaha... I didn't think it was actually possible but... you win! Your craft room is even messier than mine! I do at least still have a small path from the door to the chair so that I can get in and out. :D :D

Have fun exploring in there... just make sure you tell someone before you go in so we know to send in the search parties if you're gone for too long! :D
